▣ Quick and Easy Mango Sorbet Recipe

Summer is the perfect time to make fun and tasty treats for your family. Here is a quick and easy way to make a refreshing mango sorbet.  You can do this with your little kids to encourage them to help out in the kitchen.

What You Need:

  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 ½ kilograms of ripe mangoes
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Blender
  • Ice Cream Maker

What You Should Do:

  • Prep the mangoes by washing and drying them.
  • Cut the mangoes close to the seed and scoop out the flesh of the mango and place in a bowl.
  • Heat the sugar and water in a pot.  Wait until the water has boiled and the sugar fully dissolved before turning off the stove.  Let the solution cool down.
  • While waiting for the sugar solution to cool, put the flesh of the mango in the blender.
  • After blending the mango, place 1 cup of the sugar syrup to the blender. Add the lime juice while blending the syrup and mango mix.
  • Place the puree in the ice cream maker.
  • After using the ice cream maker, place the concoction in freezer. 
  • Serve the sorbet frozen.
  • Optional: Add fresh mango slices on top of a the scoop of sorbet
